Hermie Colson, Sr.

-Rincon- Mr. Hermie C. Colson, Sr., 75, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Hermie was born in Guyton, Georgia on February 12, 1946 to Herman and Lilla Colson. He retired from Great Dane after many years of service. For many years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR.  Mr. Hermie was loved by all who knew him, and he will greatly be missed.

He is preceded in death by: his loving wife, Frieda Colson; parents, Herman and Lilla Colson; and sister, Brenda Graham.

Survivors include: his children, Hermie C. Colson. Jr. of Rincon, Anthony Colson of Rincon, Stacy Bevill of Rincon, and Kelly Colson of Rincon; siblings, Ronnie Colson (Missy) of Guyton, Velitta Johnson of Colbert, Anita Smith of Springfield, and Tira Jenkins (Hubert) of Guyton; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and his beloved fur baby, Clyde.

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 2pm – 3:45pm with a graveside service to follow at 4pm in the Springfield Annex Cemetery.
