-Guyton- Hazel Royal, 71, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017, at Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Royal was born in Danville, Illinois on June 8, 1945. She lived in Effingham County for a number of years where she worked for Smokehouse BBQ Restaurant for a lengthy time and later for Rahns Greenhouse.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Richard Royal.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Royal; two sons, Ronnie Royal, Jr. of Swainsboro and Michael Royal of Sylvania; daughter, Sandra Maddox of Ellabell; half sister, Donna Hall; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Elam Egypt Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 1 - 2 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial: Foy Cemetery at Elam Egypt.
