Harold “Odell” Davis, resident of Rincon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on January 6, 1947, in the city of Savannah, Georgia, Harold lived a life full of passion, adventure, and unwavering dedication to his family.
A true Southern gentleman, Odell was known for his love of fishing and hunting, where he found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His enthusiasm for collecting baseball cards was rivaled only by his devotion to the sport itself, as he remained a lifelong fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons. He also enjoyed race cars.
Odell’s fascination with history led him to become a Civil War buff, spending countless hours poring over books, artifacts, and participating in reenactments. He also took great pride in decorating his home on Chimney Road with elaborate Christmas lights each holiday season, creating a tradition that brought joy to family, friends, and everyone who passed by.
Odell was preceded in death by his parents, Harold D. Davis and Grace Davis, as well as his brothers Edward Davis and Lamar Davis.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Davis (Sherrie) and Dennis Davis (Joan). Harold was also the beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place on September 11, 2026, at 11 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
