Grover Jerrel Woods, Sr.

-Guyton- Mr. Grover Jerrel Woods, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Woods was a native and lifelong resident of Effingham County. He was a self-employed construction worker and also worked for many years at Union Camp and for Life of Georgia. Grover was a charter member of Countryside Baptist Church and was a friend to many.

He is preceded in death by: his father and mother, Grover C. Bennie Woods and Arean H. Woods; and brother, Louis L. Falagan, Sr.

Survivors include: his wife, Lynn Woods; daughters, Paula Richardson (Stephen) and Julie Prather (Robert); son, Grover Jerrel “Rusty” Woods, Jr. (Symone); brother, Charles Woods; sister, Dorothy Cowart; sister-in-law, Yvonne Falagan; 9 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Woods Cemetery on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2pm.
