-GILBERT - George Mitchell (Mitch) Hewitt, 41, cancer survivor, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 in a single vehicle accident.
Mitch was born on November 7, 1976 to Mickey and Barbara Hewitt. He was a self - employed carpenter and a heating and air conditioning specialist. Hunting and fishing brought great joy to his life.
Surviving are one daughter, Mackenzie Hewitt; two sons, Blake and Dalton Hewitt; granddaddy, Clyde Hewitt; uncle, Charles (Mary) Snelgrove; cousins, Kristie and Landon Snelgrove, Pam, Chelsea, and Zach (Breelynn) Thomas. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George (Charlie) and Sara Snelgrove.
A memorial service will be held on December 21, 2017 at Pineview Baptist Church, in West Columbia,SC. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 PM and the service will begin at 7:00.
Memorials may be made to the Hewitt family.
