Gene Autry Edwards, 81, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Effingham Care Center.
Mr. Gene was born in Clyo on August 23, 1941, to the late Noah and Bessie Edwards and lived in Effingham County his entire life. He enjoyed watching baseball and always enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Bessie Edwards; brothers, G.B. Edwards, William Edwards, and Noah Edwards, Jr.; and sisters, Virginia Edwards and Audrey Edwards.
Survivors include his nieces, Ruby Williams and Judy Cope; and nephews, Derrel Edwards and Jimmy Edwards.
A graveside service will be held at Silverhill Church Cemetery on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 10:30am.
