Francis Ray Causey, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born on September 8, 1937, in Guyton, Georgia, Ray lived a life characterized by dedication, service, and faith.
Ray devoted many years of his professional life to Imperial Sugar in Savannah, Georgia, where he retired after a commendable tenure. His commitment to hard work and excellence was evident in every endeavor he undertook.
A proud veteran, Ray served his country with honor in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge. For over 30 years, Ray was a devoted member of the Rincon Global Methodist Church. He found great joy in serving as a Sunday School teacher, where he inspired countless people with his wisdom and compassion.
Ray will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and faith. His legacy of kindness and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Shirley Ann Causey.
Survivors include: his sons, Matt Causey of Guyton, Derril Causey (Lori) of Rincon; and Darin Causey (Nicol) of Jacksonville, FL; and grandchildren, Skyler, Macon, Sayler, Scout, Drayton, Brianna, Brittany and Dylan.
A celebration of life will be held at Rincon Global Methodist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11AM.
