Ernest S. Myatt, 68, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at Candler Hospital.
Ernest was born on October 11, 1954, in Providence, Rhode Island to Ernest and Dorothy Myatt. He later relocated to Georgia with his family. He was a very loving and hardworking father that cared very much for others and would do anything and everything to make sure his family was always taken care of.
Mr. Myatt worked for many years at SuperValu before retiring. After retirement, he went on to work for Lowes and Walmart. Ernest took Karate in the early 90’s becoming a member of the SWAT team at Don Rodrigus Karate Academy and worked his way up to black belt, earning multiple trophies. In his free time, he loved getting up early on the weekends and going yard selling and to the flea market. He also had a love for music, going to car shows and to swap meets.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Anna Ferrante Myatt.
Survivors include her three children, Lisa, Ernie, and Justin; sister, Carol Myatt; and six grandchildren, Noah Nease, Madison Nease, Annabelle Nease, Karlie Myatt, Ella Myatt and Holden Myatt. Ernest was also going to be a grandfather again in April to baby Enzley. She will be grandchild number 7.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 2 – 4pm at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
