Eric Anthony Van Horn, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 10, 2023, in Springfield, Georgia. Born on December 11, 1985 in Fort Ord, California, Eric lived a life filled with love, joy, and laughter.

Eric was known for his dedicated work as a forklift operator for Standard Concrete. He approached his career with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. Through his hard work and determination, he gained the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Beyond his professional life, Eric will be remembered for his vibrant personality. He had a spontaneous spirit and a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. Whether it was cracking jokes or organizing impromptu adventures with friends and family, he had an uncanny ability to bring smiles to everyone's faces.

As a family man, Eric cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His wife Nicole Rigolini Van Horn was the light of his life and their bond was unbreakable. Together they raised three beautiful children: Logan Van Horn, Aubrey Van Horn, and Kylie Van Horn. Eric's devotion to his family knew no bounds. He treasured family gatherings and created lasting memories through shared experiences.

In addition to being a loving husband and father, Eric also valued his relationship with his extended family. He leaves behind his loving mother, Cynthia Botke Smith of Effort, PA; brother, Bryan Van Horn (Betsy) of Greenville, SC; nephew, Hunter Van Horn of Greenville, SC; and niece, Taylor Van Horn of Greenville, SC.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, Boyd James Van Horn, Jr; brother, Timothy Van Horn; step-father, Mark Smith; and grandparents, Kenneth Botke and Florence Keith.

Outside of work and family life, Eric had a number of hobbies that brought him immense joy. He found solace in riding motorcycles with the wind blowing through his hair and the freedom of the open road beneath him. Additionally, he enjoyed spending time with his family going to the movies.

Eric Anthony Van Horn touched the lives of all who knew him. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and caring nature will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love and happiness that will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton, Georgia.
