Edward "Eddie" Lynn Pye

Edward “Eddie” Lynn Pye, a cherished resident of Springfield, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at the age of 60.

Born on Wednesday, June 16th, 1965, Eddie was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose kind spirit and engaging presence touched the lives of everyone he met.

A dedicated engineer, Eddie gave many years to his work at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock for 21 years, where he applied his skills and creativity to his projects with unparalleled dedication. Eddie enjoyed spending time outdoors, cooking, and had a passion for fast cars and trucks.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Clifford Waldo Pye and Ora Jean Brantley.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and precious memories through his daughters, Brianna Pye Anderson (Jacob) and Misty Molina (Rich); his son, Steven Hopf; siblings, Alan, Michael, John, David, and Mary; grandchildren Blair, Laura Bishop (Cason), Everly, Evan, Emerie, and Ethan, with whom he shared many cherished moments filled with laughter and love.

Eddie’s warmth, generosity, and laughter will be remembered by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Eddie with a Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton, GA. This occasion will be an opportunity to remember the joy Eddie brought into the world and to honor his enduring spirit.

Eddie Lynn Pye will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered and cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
