Duane LeRoy Neesam

Duane LeRoy Neesam, 86, of Sylvania, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025, at Jenkins County Medical Center.

He was born on December 18, 1938, in Baraboo, Wisconsin to the late couple Earl Neesam and Luella Elwood Neesam. After graduating from high school Duane enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country. He worked as a butcher and retired from Kroger Groceries as a meat cutter.

Duane enjoyed telling jokes and coloring. He would hand his pictures out to people walking around downtown Sylvania. He really loved playing cards, rummy and spades were his favorites, but truly loved spending time with his family.

Those who will cherish his memory are Gwendolyn “Gwen” Oliver, his lifelong friend; her children, Misty Folker and Jenny Bowers; his 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
