Danny Wayne Sutton, 71, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his home.
Danny was a native of Monroe, Michigan, but moved to Ridgeland, South Carolina in 1976 and lived the last ten years in Guyton. He served in the United States Marine Corp and throughout his life, he lived the core values of a United States Marine every day … Honor, Courage, and Commitment. If he gave you his word on something you could take it to the bank.
Through the years, he worked for Chrysler in Michigan and drove for O’Neal Steal in Savannah for a number of years. He was always a hard worker, one that could be depended on 100%. Danny’s favorite past time was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved to collect many types of Harley collectibles and other memorabilia.
Above all, family was number one in Danny’s life. When it came to his family, he was very protective and loved them with all he had. Underneath his tough exterior was a very loving, generous, and caring soul.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Margaret Sutton; brothers, Dillard Sutton, Jr. and Jerry Sutton.
Survivors include: his devoted wife of 53 years Patty Sutton of Guyton; children, Danny Sutton (Jerrie), Holly Sutton, and Dikkie Sutton all of Guyton; grandchildren, Brandon Sutton (Brittany) of Springfield, Danielle Sutton (Richie) of Guyton, Ryan Driggers of Colorado, Courtney Whitman of Rincon, Logan Sutton of Beaufort, Mason Sutton of Beaufort, and Sylvia Sutton of Savannah; sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Allen of Monroe, MI, Ivy Puhl of Florida and Edwina Sutton of Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
