Charlie Lee Sammons

-Rincon-Mr. Charlie Sammons, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Eagle Health & Rehab.
Mr. Sammons was born in Register, Georgia and lived in Rincon for a number of years. He retired from Sugar Transport, was a United States Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Sammons is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Minnie Sammons; siblings, W.H. Sammons, Fronita Brown, Paul Sammons, Carrol Sammons and Mary Ann Sammons.
Survivors include: three nephews, William Brown of Statesboro, Ray Sammons of Darien, Timmy Sammons of Woodbine; three nieces, Shirley Anderson of St. Simons Island, Patty Daniels of Woodbine and Connie Rawl of Woodbine.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home from 10 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
