Carrie (Hammonds) Edwards

Mrs. Carrie Edwards, 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Oceanside Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Carrie was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 19, 1935 to William and Margaret Hammonds. She enjoyed working in her yard, fishing, cooking, and spending time with loving family. Mrs. Carrie was loved by all who knew her. She never met a stranger and would do anything to help out anyone in need.

Survivors include: her loving husband, great dad and papa, Earnest Edwards; children, Cindy & Eddie Smith, Spencer & Angie Price, Preston & Tina Price, Ricky & Hedyann Price, and Jimmy & Betty Edwards; sister, Lilly Proctor; 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

An opportunity for public viewing will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 2:00 -7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be held at Silverhill United Methodist Church on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.
