Bryant Raine Roberts

Mr. Bryant Raine Roberts, 73, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Effingham County Extended Care.

Mr. Bryant was born in Leaksville, NC on March 28, 1946 to C.W. and Evelyn Roberts. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force as a crew chief airplane mechanic and was a member of Rincon First Baptist Church. Racing, fishing and spending time with his loving family brought the greatest joy to his life. Over the course of his life, he worked as a welder, property manager, policeman, firefighter, and entrepreneur.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Evelyn Roberts; brother, Timothy Roberts; and sister, Tanya Roberts.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 25 years, Lynn Roberts; daughter, Brandy Roberts of Rincon; brothers, Joe Roberts (Arlene) of Eden, NC and Buddy Roberts (Carole) of Stoneville, NC; sister, Iva Welton of Hilton Head; faithful four legged companion, Buddy; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2020 for 4:30 – 5:30 with funeral services to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 6PM. Burial will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
