Beverly Kay (Gardner) Sizemore

August 10, 1945 — December 29, 2021


-Guyton-Mrs. Beverly Kay Sizemore,76, of Guyton, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her home peacefully with care provided by Compassus Hospice and her loving family.

Beverly was born in Lexington, Michigan on August 10, 1945, daughter of the late Frank and Alta Gardner. She married Richard A. Sizemore, Sr. from Wolf Pen, West Virginia on May 17, 1969, in San Bernardino, California. She attended Emmanuel Bible College from 1963-1965 in Kitchener, Ontario. For many years Mrs. Beverly worked for Joann’s Florist, then became the activities director at Effingham County Extended Care, and before retirement she worked for the Effingham County Board of Education for 15 years. In her free time, Beverly enjoyed painting and being a part of the Georgia Gourd Society.

Her biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren whom she loved spending time with; Annsleigh, Kasey, Kourtney, Logan, Bristol, Gavin, Eli Bigsby, and Micha. Beverly also leaves behind her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Sizemore; children, Richard A. Sizemore, Jr., Tracy Sizemore Lessard (Mike), and Randall A. Sizemore (Leslie); siblings, Aaron Gardner (Ann), Naomi Thompson (Lyle), Dorothy Spencer, twin brother, Bruce Gardner (Gail), David Gardner (Susie); and sister-in-law, Sally Gardner.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Edsel Gardner (Marion), Hubert Gardner, Donna Ostrander, and Donald M. Gardner.

Services will be private. The family request donations be made in memory of Mrs. Beverly to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, 34 Washington Street Suite 310, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
