Beverly Jennings

February 16, 1943 — April 9, 2024

Rincon, GA

It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Joan Jennings is announcing her passing on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, with her loving husband by her side in Savannah GA. “Death is nothing but going home to God, the bond of Love will be unbroken for all eternity”.

“When the Jaybird Sings”: Written by Beverly Jennings”. Beverly was born on February 16, 1943, to Thomas and Ruth Coates in Teaneck, New Jersey. Her early years were spent in Georgia, and she knew she would always return. Beverly was extremely devout in her faith; she loved animals and was a skilled and well-known breeder of Main Coon cats. Beverly was also an accomplished author. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, loving aunt, stepmother, grandmother, cousin, and loyal friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Coates and Ruth (Christie) Coates, and Niece Lisa Pynn. Survived by Beloved husband Albert Jennings, Sister Linda Beard, Nephew Richard Lico, and family. Stepdaughters Dawn Jennings-Murphy, Darcy Jennings-Grell, and Dorian Jennings-Allen, cousins and other relations.

“When the Fig Tree Blooms”: Written by Beverly Jennings. Beverly was a passionate soul who could prattle on like a “Jaybird” in the very best way at times. Leaving a lasting mark on all who knew her. As the fig tree represents, she was blessed with an abundance of wisdom. Family and friends alike have fond memories and many stories they could share. Thank you to all those who loved and cared for her. She will always, and forever be missed.

At her request, a Celebration of Life Ceremony will not take place at this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any animal shelter in her honor.
