Agnes "Aggie" Vivian Brigdon

Agnes “Aggie” Vivian Thompson Brigdon, 95, of Rincon, Georgia and widow of Lamar Brigdon, died Saturday morning, May 23, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1931, to the late Bige Clayton Thompson and the late Nell Fisher Thompson. She was a homemaker and seamstress who enjoyed fishing, crabbing and being on the water. Agnes always liked to cook, bake, and take care of others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lamar Brigdon; her parents, Bige Clayton Thompson & Nell Fisher Thompson; sons, Danny David Brigdon and Richard Allen Brigdon; brothers, Bill Thompson, Jack Thompson, Dusty Thompson, and Melvin Thompson; and her sister Gloria Dorbert.

Those who will cherish her memory are her sons, Michael (Becky), James “Jimmy” (Amy); her daughter, Lynn; brother Bobby Thompson; sisters, Rubye Webb and Nora Grubb; grandchildren, Danny (Arrie) Brigdon, Erica (Kevin) Lee, Trey Brigdon, Bobby (Jessica) Brigdon, and Andrew Miles; her great-grandchildren, Lacy, Zackery, Allen, Avery, Adam, Emory, Colton, Everly and several nieces and nephews, and her loving friend “Mama” Jean Roddenberry.

The family will receive friends and family from 2 until 3 o'clock at the Baptist Church of Ebenezer.  The funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church of Ebenezer conducted by Pastor Matt Hines. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Agnes has asked that you make contributions to the Baptist Church of Ebenezer, 2401 Ebenezer Road, Rincon, Georgia 31326.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.

Agnes Vivian Thompson Brigdon leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and happy memories. Her kindness and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
